As part of Agrocaribe’s strategic training plan, 120 plant and office personnel participated in a risk awareness, BASC certification and human resources company policy workshop, with the aim of obtaining knowledge on different issues to be able to face daily situations.
Some of the issues approached, were risks in different areas; how to prevent and handle them and the consequences of not reporting illegal acts. Also issues of BASC certification were approached. On the human resources policy, the employees had the opportunity of giving examples, discussing them according to the company’s norms and highlighting the benefits granted by the company to its workers.
“ These trainings are very important because they update our knowledge, for example about BASC, which is a certification that helps implement control measures inside the company so that workers are safe in the plant area.”
“For the workers, it’s a way to acquire knowledge since we are a world recognized company.”
*BASC is a strategic security organization that facilitates safe international trade, it has worldwide recognition.
